Only the best shots are played and the pace of the game is very fast. All players drive, the best ball is chosen and all players take their next shots from that point. The process is repeated until the ball is holed out. The team records a score. Gross scores are used and handicaps are not required. This format promotes easier and faster scoring. Best Ball This format may be played as 2, 3, or 4 person teams. Golfers play their own ball on each hole and the lowest score is then recorded to be the team score. This format may be played with or without a handicap. This is usually a fun format with a medium pace of play. Individual Stroke Each player plays his/her own ball the entire round. ON-COURSE & PRE/POST EVENT CONTESTS Straightest Drive, Longest Drive, Shortest Drive, Closest to the Pin, Longest Putt Made Putting Contest: An elaborate 9-hole putting course is set up exclusively for your event. A putting contest is usually held before the tournament to attract more players and add excitement to the tournament. It can also be used to raise additional funds for charity events.
